Whose God Is It?
Over the ages, more people have been killed in the name of "god" or "gods" than for any other single reason. Often disguised in the name of politics (Nazi's), hatred, fear and jealousy over fellow mankind who hold different religious beliefs has always threatened the peace and even the basic survival of mankind. Humanism ties, religion divides. To throw out the concept of god frees the mind to see the common ties that we have between races and cultures. The middle eastern Muslim no longer sees the Christian as a devil. The Jew no longer views the Buddist as a lost soul. Isn't it obvious, with so much disagreement worldwide about who and what or how many god is, that there can be no true answer. If a god or gods were truly as powerful, all knowing, all wise and creator of all that he or she is often claimed to be, then why didn't they do a better job of marketing to the one species that seems to matter in this logic. It doesn't make sense. So many claims, so little evidence. So little compassion for fellow man, so much idealogical selfishness.
